Shag Harbour is a hybrid downtempo trip-hop artist, produced by and with lyrics written by Fritz Bonko. The songs sit in loneliness and longing, with a recurring sense of the mind playing tricks on itself. The project takes its name from a small Nova Scotia fishing community best known for a still-unexplained 1967 UFO sighting, and the music carries that same feeling of something unresolved overhead. Trip-hop's slow-motion drums meet downtempo's patience, with a UFO-over-lighthouse logo to match. The mood throughout is foggy, watchful and a little uneasy.
